I called Micro platers on Van Born and they want 450 each for Duster. Anybody had any experience or pricing in Metro Detroit?

That's who did the bumpers on my Barracuda, I had them done about five years ago and the price was $350.00 each back then. I was and I still am very happy with the job that they did. There is a company out here in Waterford that I checked with first and they quoted me a price of $500.00 each, that's why I used Micro.

Thanks, I am looking at AMD for 350 each. I know then i have cores to deal with.

Did you order the AMD? I will need to make a decision about mine. Most of the rest of the car is AMD already, I may have to register it as an AMD Dart. The sheet metal is good, just wondering about Chrome quality.

Yes I did. Very happy with Chrome quality. AMD is better in the bends on lower areas. The radius is a little different in the license plate area. I purchased front and back from Tamraz for $700 delivered.

I had mine done in Michigan. Never again. Copper showed through. Place in Tennessee. I had do other with no issues tri city plating

I have not been able to get confirmation if AMDs bumpers are triple plated. I actually spoke to them on two different occasions and the two different sales reps said they did not know, and could not confirm. I asked if I could speak to their supplier directly and they said sorry could not connect me with them. I asked where they were out of, and I believe that they said Taiwan. I did not end up buying from them, so do not know how good a product it is either way. It is almost always the case that new chromed products of any kind are not plated in the traditional triple chrome process as before. What I can say, is that the few bumper shops left out here in Southern California that I know of, still do triple chrome. Good luck and let us know if you get any more info on the AMD product.
