completely baffled by the 3 piece gasket does any one make a 1 piece gasket

Direct from local Chrysler dealer. 5.2 V8 mid 2000's Jeep. One piece works well 318/340. They have them fro the 5.9/360 also so make sure that you are getting the 5.2.

I'm not talking about a 5.9 Magnum. I'm talking about a 360 cubic inch displacement so called LA engine

...................!!!!EDIT!!!!..........I'm thinking bass ackwards again........the 5.2/5.9 magnum has the same small rear pan cutout as the 360!!!

Those look like 4 piece gaskets to me.
That being said there is no such thing as a one piece gasket then, the front and rear seals are rubber and have always been.
I have never seen oil pan rail gaskets that weren't one piece, I have seen timing cover gaskets that came with pieces to replace the ends of the oil pan gaskets.

Here are my MP ones. P4007572. Cost was $10-12 at Dodge store.

Interesting, guess I'm just use to the normal ones.

The only reason I know about the one piece ones is I'm in the process of removing my oil pan on my 360 Magnum crate engine. I have to clearance it for the pitman arm and center link. It's in a 1966 Dodge Dart and has Doug's headers. I really don't want to pull the engine due to the headers. Not much room under the car. I plan on getting one of the one piece gaskets and hopefully, I'll be able to snake it in.

Just gob the heck out of it with RTV. Then there is no gasket at all to worry about. Problem solved.
