I wish I had measured the intake port size on the EQs before gasket matching the intake. The intake ports are now slightly bigger than the ports on the heads. Under boost I don't think it will matter much though since everything should get pretty mixed up and forced into the heads. The M1 is supposed to be a really good intake. You should be fine.
I have the same intake on the truck build and the stock 318 head ports are tiny compared to the intake. Boost will find a way.. I was amazed at how good the throttle response was also, very crisp!
