This one was very interesting to say the least.
Basic specs: 72 360 block .040
Diamond dish pistons 9.3 comp
H-beam (unknown)
Eagle steel crank 3.58"
Lunati Voodoo 219/227
M1 intake setup for EFI
Electromotive ECU/ignition
Boost target 12 psi
Oh and small turbos--we were well into boost @ 2500 rpm maybe lower.

Dyno tested for almost 9 straight hours mapping the fuel and spark tables. Burned 15 gallons which is about triple the amount of a normal 4-5 hour session. Engine ran awesome the entire time 45-50 psi hot idle, 60-65 psi at full song, didnt leak a drop of anything and nothing out of the valve covers. Guesses? J.Rob

What size are the Turbos and Exhaust housings? AFR at peak HP? If I gotta guess atleast throw me a bone lol....

Nice build by the way.....

690hp @ 5900 rpm
650lb-ft @ 3800 rpm

What fuel are you running??

You guys are good. To be fair I was only able to run it to 4700 before boost creep became a real problem. 91 octane Esso was the fuel used so the tuner was very conservative.

Basically we observed 622 tq and 556 HP @ 4500-4700 rpm. What is notable is the shape of the curve and it was just about vertical @ the end of the pull. The next step is extensive chassis dyno work which I will be present for once he has larger wastegates installed. I surmise this engine to make 670-720 HP with ease. I believe the timing was stupid low and every time he added 1 deg 25 HP would show up. I want to say less than 20 was where we ended. Very fun and cool sounding engine. J.Rob

Those numbers will change big time when you get the boost under control and crank it up..... Even at 63's or there about with a clean air and decent cooling of the intake charge that thing should see a 7 something easily....

Looks like a nice tight and clean front end of the motor.

Subbed for turbo details lol... drop that thing in an A-body with some aero mods and start chasing Vipers in the 1/2-mile :D

I may be wrong but I believe you will be flirting with disaster at 600+ hp on that block.

I agree 100%. We think this guy is crazy. Believe it or not he has had this setup running for 9 years. He brought me the engine this winter for some upgrades-even talked about making it a 408 which I talked him out of. The original build featured a cast crank, and KB hypers! The pistons were in perfect shape and can be reused. I bowl ported the heads, added larger stainless valves, proper PAC springs, Diamond forged dished pistons, Eagle steel crank, ARP studs etc...... He is going to some turbo expert to get his inlets changed to a larger size--when that happens I see 800+hp happening and then.......I'm going to move him to a G3 with a new hellcat block as the foundation. LOL. J.Rob

This screams for a video. :)

I took some HD video on my camcorder. Here's a pic of the graph for now. It was kinda frustrating to not be able to run this up to 6200-6300 rpm where I believe it would have peaked. J.Rob

Having a race block would be sweet haha but that’s $$$. Is this guy very familiar with the mopar small blocks?

Yes he knows he should find an R3 but even then why stick with stock Magnum castings? Just move to a G3 and enjoy 1000+ effortless HP. J.Rob
