hood mounted tach

I just mounted mine where I thought it looked good. I don't think there is really a "specs" per-say. Maybe I'm wrong?
 
Well poop on a poop stick damn it! I've been thinking about some kind of TAC out of my hood and I can't get nobody to post a picture what one looks like! Thanks anyways LOL...
 
its not on the duster yet,that is why i started this post,lol no idea where it mounts
 
I will post a picture when I get home tonight. Mine is the smaller one, different face. I remember when the dealer sold them. The early ones were Dixco (68 to 70 I think) and looked just like the Mustang ones. The last run of them were Delco-Remy. Looked like the GM and AMC (71 to 73) ones. Ma Chrysler just had them put there log on them. I have a factory one but it doesn't work. Cost less for a repo than to fix the factory one and to tell you the truth the factory ones were not very good. The aftermarket one I got works great and will keep up with the engine just fine and doesn't fog up.

I’m restoring my Demon and have removed the tach. I can give you the location of the mounting holes when I get home.
 
there was not a "factory" hood tach. they were all either "dealer " added or personally installed and ordered through "hustle stuff" .the factory never offered those as an option therefore there is not a "specific" location

Now that's the first answer that needs to be examined! And the best one! I would kind of think that again this would lead back to put it where you want it? I never considered it an option as I always thought it was something like that came on a GTO? Not to say I didn't think it was cool and not to say I wouldn't want one...
I don't recall ever seeing one being stock on a Mopar?
 
My eyes aren't used to seeing that on a Mopar! What am I going to do?! It's un-natural! LOL

You are 100 percent correct. I meant "factory" as from the dealer. Not installed at the factory.
