Joeys forums are for Mopar guys...welcoming the youngest of members to the eldest.... in an effort to bring like minded together. I've had both A & Bs, have met dicks that owned both and many more....
Mods are even handed, most members try to help support others in need there. I've had to use the power of calling someone out on the carpet for a shitty deal there and received a lot of help getting it resolved...

Trick of it is, surrounding yourself with like minded people.

The stereotype has been spread about E-body guys for years. Gotta a close friend with a yard full of them...or had. He was restoring his '72 340 4 speed 'Cuda and his '69 340 speed Swinger. One of the most unpretentious guys you'd ever want to meet. Dedicated to his family, hard worker, fun loving, and a fantastic sense of humor.

Guess I'm just lucky in that I get along with damned near anyone. Been that way since high school and all the little cliques. The spoiled brats liked me being down to Earth. The gearheads liked me because I was one of them. Was in the advanced program, so I spent most of my day with the eggheads. Played a few sports so fit in with the jocks.

No one fits the peg exactly. Be who you are and let everyone else sort themselves out. They'll either take you at value or dismiss you. If they dismiss you, then that's their loss.

I can understand a lot of the A-body crowd's frustration.

The A-body Barracuda, a.k.a. "crappy 'cuda", is ugly and less valuable than more desireable E-body Barracuda.

Then there's the Duster / Demon - stuck in the middle between the Nova and Maverick; a half-hearted effort to continue the legacy of the Dart, but really a third rate car.

And then there is Aspen / Volare'. Seemingly okay as basic transportation, but in R/T - Road Runner form (I just puked as I typed Road Runner, how can that icon be associated with this POS), an abortion of looks and power. Worse than buying an AMX Hornet, eewww!

Yes, I think the A-body crowd needs some Dr. Phil time to develop life skills to cope with chronic poor decision making. Cheer up, there is hope. One day someone will hug you real tight, and all of your broken dreams will be put back together! Yeah!

One of the reasons I bought the Road Runners and the Super Bee was to restore/build for profit.

Considering I do all my own work, with the exception of machining, the only way I was going to even think about an A- would be as my own or either an H or M code car.

And that's not a knock on the A-s, it's just simple math.

Thank you. Nice to be here. As someone who owns several makes and models of cars, I appreciate a good exchange of ideas and sharing of technical knowledge. Having owned E-bodies, a Corvette, and presently a B-body, I found this thread intriguing.
