drive shaft length? 66 dart 340/727/8&3/4

-
just double checking i measured 50.25, anyone else have a sanity for me?
I have one from my 65 dart made by AnnArbor drive. 318 with a 727 and an 8 3/4 using a 489 case. Would that measurement work for you?

Unless Breakstuff put a newer tranny in that 65 Dart, I dont think his drive shaft will fit, as it is probably a ball and trunion connection on the tranny tail shaft, 1965 was the last year for that set up. In 1966 they had the standard slip yoke for the first year. But I may be wrong.
Also Barracudas, and Darts are different wheel bases also.

My engine and trans are from a 1977 M body. Because they never put a 727 in an early a I had to get it made. Also consider there are different length trans yolks. I measure that too.

I believe 50.25" is correct. I have a 49" and I'm a little scared to use it.

From u joint center to u joint center mine is 50 1/2". The yolk from u joint center to end is 8 3/4".
If you are looking for one I might part with mine. I only used it for one season before swapping out to a 904

Thanks, and definitely let me know if you want to sell it. I am needing one soon-ish
Yea, ill sell it. I dont know how to ship it though. It has a factory yolk with with 7290 at the prop shaft and if I remember right the rear u joint is a 7290 on the drive shaft and a 1350 for the pinion yolk. Its a combination joint. Its DOM tubing with neapco ends. Made by Ann Arbor driveshaft.

Thanks i pm'd you but haven't heard back. Getting a new one made at a local shop.
Sorry, my work schedule doesn't leave me much time to go online. I would suggest having them upgrade the drive shaft to use 1350 u joints. Just incase you decide later to put in a stroker motor and spray it. Never say never
