Lost my Dad this week,

-
Our parents helped form the people we became, and I agree they will always be with us. They do watch over s, and advise us. We just have to listen as always!

Sorry for your loss. Loosing a love one is always tough.

This past weekend we went to my fathers house to continue the clean up. We need to figure out what to try and sell at our estate sale, what to keep, and what to toss in the dumpster. My father was a tool and die maker his entire life and has many old tools that are probably worth something to someone. While looking in a very old and heavy wooden tool box with many drawers and top that opens I find a owners manual for a 1969 Ford. Its in mint condition and I think my father put it there after purchasing the car the manual was for. The book has the VIN and my fathers name and date he took delivery of his 1969 Ford Country Wagon and also the dealer he purchased it from. Not to be mistaken for the Country Squire which had the simulated wood grain on the sides. Thought it was pretty cool considering it was my fathers first ever brand new car he purchased.

It's a long time ago for me I'm truly sorry to hear that. May he rest in peace

I just realized today that my dad’s been gone for 15 years now. Seems like it was just a few. Mom’s been gone for 10.
Time flies.
It gets a little weird, or it did for me anyway, when my parents, grand parents, aunts and uncles were all gone.
Then I realized I’m one of the old farts in the family now. I walked around for six months thinking I was going to die at any moment. Was a very tough time for me and some days it still is.
