Ok.. Will fully admit that my human instant gratification factor is in play. I am debating doing a pa13105 727 behind my small block. Has anyone had experience with their transmissions? Have heard horror stories about TCI, some good and bad on Hughes. Thoughts??

IMO John Cope is the guy to go to for Mopar transmissions: Cope RacingCope Racing |

I have both a small block 727 street trans, and a big block 727 race trans built by him and they have both been great.

Thanks for the tip. Looks like I need to ask him some questions.. the prices look great but the details on the different levels of transmissions is vague.

The book definitely made it more intimidating than it was.. after the hands on realized it's definitely not as hard as it seemed. Got it back in the car and it's awesome couldn't help the ear to ear grin when I put it under some load in first and it chirped the tires when it hit 2nd...

Welcome to the area behind the "black magic" curtain. Well done and congrats.

Nothing to the rebuild of these transmissions!

Here's something for your effort! :)
