I am replacing the fan on my 1965 Barracuda (see pic). When I look up replacements at parts stores an 18" fan is suggested. My old fan measures 17". The engine and radiator are out of the car making it difficult to measure for fitment. Does anyone know the correct size?

BTW, car is a V8/auto with stock radiator and no shroud.

TIA

IIRC the factory V 8 fan measures 17 inches in diameter. I would measure one of mine except I’m about 3000 miles
away from them in Paris France.

I bought an original 65 FSM at the 89 Nationals for $50! Best investment in a book I’ve ever made. Everyone should have one for the year of their car. Bought one for a 69 and 71 as well and no longer even have those cars

Good info. I am new at this and did not know such a book was obtainable.

Yes, the fan is 17”. If you are not running the original 2 piece metal shroud, you can run an 18” fan.
