As the title states, we are looking for a length measurement on a factory rear leafspring shackle. Center of hole to center of hole on the two side straps that connect the leafspring bushings to the mountain.

thanks, Eric

Just changed mine, 3.5 "

Awsome! Thank you very much.

We have it mocked up now with the aftermarket brackets that came with the car, but would like to try to lower it another inch or so.

I think we might have room to drill another hole 1" further up and drop the car a little more.

They make lowering blocks they keep the geometry of the spring right no binding. Mount between the axel and the spring. Just sold a set of 2" Way safer way to go.

I totally just had a dumb moment. LOL

I never thought about lowering blocks. LOL. And the silly part is is I've used them to raise and lower trucks in the past. LOL.

Thank you very very much for the reminder. LOL

Be careful if your are ordering aftermarket ones. Hotchkis are 4". Prothane is 3.75". Caltracs are 3.5" but extremely thin metal. And used ones are more expensive than they need to be.
