Either filter fit on my combo,with no adapter. The adapter can be used as well, I just prefer fewer 90*s.
I installed dual full-length 3" pipes, so wasn't interested in the cut-outs that everybody seems to complain about.......eventually. With Dynomax muffs, the noise is admirably controlled......for the most part. From 5000 to 7000 it screams a little, but as a streeter, I don't get to go there very often.
Ok I confess, it does go there occasionally; from idle to 65mph in 5.something seconds, spinning all the way with the tach on 7000/7200,screaming like a banshee,heehee.
