1970 duster with electric cut outs?

what engine and cam are you running? I take it is a solid lifter set up?
Its a 367 with flat-tops ..005 out of the hole, making 10.9Scr, with Eddies
The cam is a now disco'ed Hughes HE3038AL , [email protected] .541/.579 lift with 1.6 arms.It has Hughes HD lifters at .020 preload. I have not been able to pump those up.
It happened one time, that I missed a 3rd gear shift and saw the tach needle swinging by 8000rpm....... on it's way down.... scary moment that was. I jammed it into third a little more carefully and carried on as if it never happened.
I went home that day and put two things on the priority list; 1) fix the doggone shifter, and 2) get a rev-limiter. I fixed the shifter, and haven't ever missed a shift since.

Without the 90* adapter, both height filters come out from the bottom...... but it is messy. I prefer the shorty. I get oil all over the header tubes, but I consider that a good thing as the passenger side has never needed to be repaired there..... whereas the driver side had been patched three times by 2012, having been on the engine since 1999. No they are not coated.
