I replaced the turn signal cancelling cam, and now the turn signals don't work. The 4 way flashers work - no blown fuses. -- (1) Possibly the little metal strip that is under the cancelling cam is out of position. -- (2) Is it possible that the switch, itself, has gone bad, and the flashers still work ? -- Does anyone have a picture of the necessary position of that little metal strip. -- Obviously, I'm shooting in the dark, and need some help.

The turn signals & the emergency circuit have separate flasher units.

-- It's turn signal too. --
-- I'm hoping that I don't have to go through all of that. -- Is it possible for the turn signal portion of the switch to fail, and the flashers still work ? --- Post#5, above, answered that.

I would look at post #5 first. But you said you changed the cam already so I thought you had the steering wheel off already.

Find a print for it. I'm sure other members can help you figure out the color code.

It most certainly could be a TS switch problem. As said, the turn and hazard flashers are separate. First try wiggling the hazard switch on/off several times and see if the symptoms change or correct the problem.

I'm pretty sure the turn signal switch mounting comes before the ignition switch. So you will have to do some disassembly but probably not as much as it takes to change the ignition switch. If you do need a new turn signal switch, I recommend you spend a few dollars more to get a quality switch from Slant Six Dan. His website Stern Lighting is here: Daniel Stern Lighting Consultancy and Supply Scroll all the way to the bottom of this page for the turn signal switch.
