If so, what is the difference in them? Besides the obvious shape.

Upper is 3 speed,lower is2
each requires its own switch. the 3 speed requires a supplemental wiring kit.
Im guessing they are wired internally different as well, with the 3 speeder having an extra set of windings.

the different speeds are accomplished with resistors. Other than that the above is correct. I think the motors have different mfgrs also.

The haarness is attached to the motor on a three speed where on a two speed it mounts on the surface of the two speed. I'm not aware of any additional wiring kit that's necessary for the three speed. With any wiper motor, correct crank arm for the application and correct switch (2 speed/3 speed/variable speed) is also a must. A two speed with only have one speed and park where it's shut off with a three speed switch and vice versa. Wrong crank arm can bind the linkage, overheat the motor and cause damage to the motor, never mind that risk of an under dash wire fire

my 67 Barracuda wiper motor only has three wires. no green wire is in the harness I even opened up the motor and there is not one broken off or anything. I am not sure but the switch appears to be for a two speed motor and the wiper motor was on the car when I got it so I am pretty sure it is the correct one for the switch. the wires had been cut off and the bulkhead plug is MIA anyone have three wire motor or diagram. the motor runs and parks on the bench.

Does it look like either of the motors above?
Take a pic and if possible get the number off the shell. some 67s used 66 motors

Yep thats it mattix. there is no green wire there either. I found one on ebay and was able to enlarge it to the point where I could see the wire colors in the plug. I appreciate the conformation photos. I have a two speed one also but hated to do away with an original part. the violet wires are neutral saftey switch I think. once again thanks!

The 67 Barracuda supplement shows pretty much the same as the regular service manual - which is the 3 speed version.
Violet goes to the reverse light switch.*
Going from the bottom the wiper wires in the diagram are 16 ga Brown, 18 ga Dark Blue, 18 gage Red. At the top would be the green. But with the 2 speed of course there is none. If I'm at the garage this weekend I'll try to remember to check and confirm that. Inside colors and sizes should match.

* Reverse light switch location varies.

Confirmed:
top = Empty
18 gage Red.
18 ga Dark Blue,
16 ga Brown
