summit cams do not meet usa standards

Shouldn't we find out what, "Doesn't meet US standards" means before debating it to death.

Agreed like an thanks just can't do it all in one!

You mean like this?

FYI, if it doesn't say where it's made, under US law, it has to be US made. If foreign, it must legally (yeah, I know...) be marked so.

That applies to anything except babies.

Missouri just passed a law that says beef sold there MUST be labeled as such, IF made from vegetable products!!!!! LOL

Beef, its what for dinner!!!

I think babies should be marked where they came from also...

Google impossible beef. There's some neat videos on YouTube about it.

Fyi, I'm in Missouri.

I think this is what hes talking about. Page 2 says they try to source parts from USA as much as possible and states that when they are. Here's the pics of current catalog. If you look at the Summit cam, it says Made in USA next to it. some don't. Hughes does as well.

"So Crane, Comp and Lunati are not made in USA?".... Comp uses offshore cores and Lunati has made in USA right on the label. Take that ad with a grain of salt. As for being CA legal, friggin nothing is in a speed catalog. You cannot even legally modify your exhaust here on an OBD-II car.

I was looking at buying a shift knob for my 2016 Mustang GT and was informed it wasn't CA legal. I live in Idaho and have a Ca area code.

Made in USA, assembled from foreign components. Can you say Toyota? And about everyone else including Harley Davidson.

I believe Mag-lite a CA based company could not label Made in the USA due to one small part that was foreign sourced. IMO anything the State of CA. dictates needs to be taken with a grain of salt.

Most cams in the US (including OEM) are made by Camshaft Machine Company. Camshaft Machine Company

Summit and Edelbrock have some of the same grinds. All made by Camshaft Machine Co. Also back about 20 years or so ago, Wolverine Blue Racer cams were the same as Edelbrock as well. Made by (you guessed it) Camshaft Machine Co.
