Water Pump Fittings
So this did not go as planned. Here is what I have as of now. The old fitting is not coming out of the old water pump. I bought new stainless fittings (like the ones on Year One), and the new fitting will screw into that bypass hose hole just as that big brass adapter will. But the new fitting is clearly not right for the diameter of the bypass hose. I tested it by installing the new bypass hose on the new stainless fitting with a Corbin clamp and I could pull it off by hand. So there must be some type of adapter that goes into that brass fitting that came with the new water pump. Anybody got any idea what that fitting would be (size in particular) and better yet where I might get one? I went to my local NAPA and they could not offer any help. So I’m a little desperate now as this is holding up me getting this damn thing back together.
