What pump manufacturer is that from? Looks like there are 2 different styles of pumps, one has 3 ports and one has 2. I used a "close nipple" in the same size as the larger pipe and it worked. It ends up looking like this. I dont know what the small plug is for. Your brass adapter is probably to adapt the original OD of the OEM pump fitting..
