Going back when I was raising My son. LOL

When I was 4, my neighbor built a garage, a tiny 1 car garage that still stands. When he was framing it up, he had a diagonal member along both walls to keep the framing aligned. Even at 4 or 5, I was smart enough to notice "that board was crooked" so I asked him about it.

He told me, "oh that board is VERY important. If that wasn't there, the entire garage would fall down."

So!!!! I snuck over there a few times and made a few saw cuts with my "toy" carpenter's set, which back in those days, were "real," no plastic, and pretty soon, I had it cut in half!!! He laughed about that for years

This is the garage, here. Those folks are long gone. The old house next to it was my first "consious" memories, we moved out when I was six
