B&M Pro Ratchet is my favorite. Been using them since the mid 90s and have three now.
You can only move one position at a time no matter what direction you are going, and no matter what gear you are going to or from, including neutral. I use reverse manual valve bodies mostly, but Pro Ratchet works exactly the same for any style since it's always one gear at time.
