What’s everyone using with a trans brake?. 74 duster race car if it matters. What’s the best bang for the buck? Thanks. Kim

I have had several Hurst quartersticks. Love them, and cheap. Like them a bunch more than the Cheetah shifter in my car now that was in it when i bought it.

I don't have a transbrake but I put the B&M Pro-Ratchet in all my cars. I love them, impossible to miss a shift.

I agree 100%. I have had the Pro Ratchet in a lot of my cars through the years. None with transbrake, but they are a bowl of badassary.

I started off with a b&m mega shifter than quicksilver now pro stick. The gated shifter is wayyyyyy better. Pro stick is my new favorite.

Precision Shifter.
I just ordered one of those (after much research and comparison) with cable and linkage/bracket. Only issue is I was told it's a 6-8 week wait as they are inundated with orders. The best feature I saw was you don't have to pull a lever to go from second to third. Just hit it or pull it.

These shifters always take a long time to get but I love mine. The only other shifter I would consider would be an M&M shifter. They are designed a lot like the PPP shifter.

Do u guys w/ proratchets have to ratchet back to neutral after a burnout? I did w/ mine and hated it !!
B&M Pro Ratchet is my favorite. Been using them since the mid 90s and have three now.
You can only move one position at a time no matter what direction you are going, and no matter what gear you are going to or from, including neutral. I use reverse manual valve bodies mostly, but Pro Ratchet works exactly the same for any style since it's always one gear at time.

these are the tits, the only ones I use.

I fell into a deal on a clean N PPP shifter a few years ago and after having it in the car I’d pay full pop for it all day long. Much better than the Promatic II Hurst and TA Cheatya shifters I’ve used.

The biggest thing I like about the Pro Ratchet is its simplicity. ONE shift lever. ONE reverse lockout tab. That's it. No extra lever to grab or move. I have tried shifters like the Quarter Stick and could never get used to that extra lever. The Pro Ratchet is so simple a chimp could use it.
