Does your pump have round body with screws or is it crimped? There are 2-3 rubber flap (outlet valves) pressed in there. One may not be seating. I have found the little rubber pucks dislodged and sitting at the base of the pump. View attachment 1715180215View attachment 1715180216
I have the same hard starting problem with my 65 Barracuda. Are you implying that the stock type fuel pump can be repaired or Rebuilt? I'm tired of trying different fuel pumps and would like to see the problem and then know that it's fixed.
