What’s everyone using with a trans brake?. 74 duster race car if it matters. What’s the best bang for the buck?Thanks. Kim

Part number depends on options. Basic model for three speeds including 727/904 and overdrive 4 speeds like GM 700R4 is 80842. Two speed Power Glide is 80840. Then there are some with a black finish and some with different shifter handles.
 
With the Precision you have push or pull option for standard shift pattern, and push or pull in reverse pattern.
 
Most of the good shifters that have the functions you need will work fine, and you'll get used to how it works in a short amount of time. It really comes down to comfort with how it operates, and what you are willing to look at in your car.
