here are the classic series...

the one on the car is the napa blade... the one i'm holding is the one that came on jamies car.. not sure if its original or not.. it has a "15" stamped in it and also has a trico number on it.... look how close they look... the bends aren't quite as sharp but who cares. it looks allot better then the stinking black blade in my opinion....

I have bought those at Advance Auto for my B`cuda. Nice huh, I wish they`d carry more pieces like that for us.

I put those on my car about a month ago. I believe they are the 33 series. I matched them up to my originals and they were excellent! Nice part for under $10 each.

For those looking for original "refills", some of us want to keep their OEM frames.
Anco U15R
Anco 19-15*
Trico 43-150*
Trico 44-150
Car Quest 453-150*
Car Quest 454-150
NAPA WIP 61544
* Original style metal frames

For other lengths change the 15 in the number to the different length.

None of the parts store have these in their application search.
The stores often have them, just can't look them up.
Or hit eBay, Amazon, etc.

:thankyou:Reminds me I want to get some before Carlisle. Car normally doesn't go anywhere in the rain, but ya never know...

Yes I bought sets for my 67 and 52, definitely look better than the modern blacks.
Too bad they`re not chromed. I can`t believe they don`t rust right away. Their highly magnetic if stainless.

I also bought a set of new Trico ones, just for the look. They look ok way better than the black ones. I have not tried them in the rain but I was told not to, they do not last and fall apart. I will stick to original ones with nos inserts or nos assemblies not worth scratching my windshield.

Oh yeah, they don't last any time.
I had a set come apart in a downpour at an event. Had to go into an Autozone and get a set of black ones. If course the kid sold me the wrong thing the 1st time. My fault, I should have looked at them before I paid.
But I took them home and put some inserts in them, they're fine now.

I bought a NAPA set in 2012 after driving my Satellite 50 miles home through tropical storm Sandy with no wipers, no defrost, and a leaking master cylinder.

They've been on ever sine and I drive in the rain over a dozen times a year.

That's just the way it is in FL.

I have used the NAPA refills for years on my old truck and duster, on the truck you have to trim maybe 1/2 inch off, but they wipe fine.
One thing I found out by accident is the wiper refills I bought for my 79 vette fit the duster with no trimming.

It depends which wipers the car came with, the Anco (pushbutton style) or the Trico.
For pushbutton type, the Anco U-15 refill is close, but I don't know if its a cigar. The 19-15 is way too narrow for an Anco pushbutton.
The 12 series was the last refill Anderson made that was truly for the pushbuttons. The rib should be be 0.380" wide. Trico 43 series will work as a refill because the spring loaded end clip holds it in place.
Chrysler p/n for 15" ANCO (double bridge) refills 2771 967,
and 15" Trico (single bridge) refills 2889 964

Classic Industries sells repop of the 16" Anco refills but not 15". Go figure.

Refills for Metal Wipers

This is a copy of a post I did on FCBO so it was about 16", again these were tested and work.
The numbers posted essentially look the same.

I'm sure a lot of store have them IF you know the number or are willing to sort through a pile of different ones of the correct length. They have no way of looking them up!

I went to O'Reilly and they had the 44-160 and not the 43-160 (Trico)
I went to Car Quest next and they had a 453-160 that was correct as well, their other number was 454-160

The 43-160 is the correct vintage style with the metal frame. The 44-160 will work but has an integral plastic frame, otherwise the same.

453-160 on the left, 44-160 on the right.

Both have been tested and work.
I have not located the other two numbers but in time I would like to see if they will work.

So the list that is good

Correct metal frame style
Trico 43-160
CarQuest 453-160

Functioning substitutes
Trico 44-160
CarQuest 454-160

Alan,
That's on your '67, right?
So the 43 & 44 series will work with the Anco double bridge blades.
That would make sense as I'm pretty sure the Trico 43 type is what I was using on my '67's original blades until I found a decent set of Anco 12-15 refills.

My 75 duster had 15" black replacement blades when I got it. When I look up blades by car model/year they always show me 16".
What was original and what fits?
