Selling my pride a joy! Originally a slant 6 car it has a 360 LA and 727 now. Schumacher motor mounts for the swap. Car is a very well taken care of almost entirely rust-free California car. Spent time in the PNW (Portland/Vancouver) area for several years but was always garaged. Had it for 16 years and I no longer have space to work on it. Car is currently with me in San Diego, CA. Runs and drives great, starts right up, no leaks. Clean WA state title.
  • 360 LA was rebuilt 2 years ago by Central Cylinder Head in Portland, OR. Rotating assembly balanced with the “half-moon” flex plate to accommodate neutrally balanced torque converter. Has maybe 2k miles on the motor since the rebuild.
  • 727 was rebuilt 2 years ago by Jim’s Transmissions in Vancouver, WA. Stock rebuild neutrally balanced converter.
  • Drive shaft was shortened, new U-joints, new slip yoke, and rebalanced at the time of the engine swap
  • 2.25” dual exhaust with quiet flow mufflers that sound great were installed by Orchard’s Muffler in Vancouver, WA during the engine rebuild
  • 8 ¾ rear, 2.7x sure-grip clutch style with BBP green bearing axles from DoctorDiff
  • 11 ¾” front disc brakes sliding caliper style BBP
  • Manual brakes aluminum master cylinder from DoctorDiff
  • Rallye wheels from Wheel Vintinques with BFG Radial T/A tires. Spare is also a Rallye wheel with new tire.
  • 22” radiator, was re-cored to 3-row core
  • HEI electronic ignition, 4 pin module, E-core coil, with recurved distributor.
  • New Edelbrock 650cfm AVS2 carburetor manual choke on an Edelbrock Performer intake manifold
  • Trap-door style air cleaner
  • Exhaust manifolds are high flow. 340 driver side and 360 magnum passenger side which were modified by a member here for 2.25” outlet.
  • V8 torsion bars and Edelbrock IAS shocks
  • FirmFeel front sway bar
  • Later-year higher output Denso alternator and solid state voltage regulator. Ammeter has been upgraded by Real Time Engineering to accommodate the higher amp alternator.
  • New engine wiring harness
  • Aftermarket fuse block with blade style fuses
New gas tank installed 3 months ago. Went with the ‘72+ style tank to eliminate the vapor canister in the trunk. Has new tank pad, straps, and filler neck grommet. Filler neck was changed to the ’75-’76 unleaded style for the improved anti-splashback design, with the very common ‘72+ gas cap. No spills or leaks from the filler, works great. Gas tank has a NOS sending unit and the gauge does work correctly.

Car was painted in 2010. Originally green changed color to W1 white base coat/clear coat. Door jambs, engine bay, under the hood, under trunk lid were all painted. Very good color conversion. All new emblems/badges were purchased at the time of the paint job. All new window seals, wing window seals, front and rear windshield gasket, window felts, and wipers installed right after the paint job.

Most of the interior and exterior lights were upgraded to LED, not crappy LED lights, good ones endorsed by Daniel Stern Lighting. Car has trunk light, working dash lights, ignition light, ash tray light, glove box light, dome light, map light, all lights function properly. Headlights are stock.
  • Interior was redone with new headliner, front and rear seats reupholstered
  • New carpet kit and dash pad installed recently
  • New heater core and the heater box was cleaned and DMT rebuilt kit installed recently
  • RetroSound Laguna radio (AM/FM/AUX) in the dash with Pioneer speakers in the rear.
  • Has a rimblow steering wheel in fair condition but the squeeze horn piece is missing. I made a Delrin bracket below the dash which has a button for the horn as well as the manual choke cable. No modification was done to the car the bracket is connected to existing holes under the dash.
  • Door panels in good condition, not warped or broken.
  • New wiper seals and installed the Schumacher kit to grease the wiper pivots.
  • Instrument cluster has a solid-state voltage limiter and all gauges work.
  • NOS ignition switch installed recently
Extras:
Have the complete rear window defroster assembly. Wiring is in place as well as the switch under the dash. Gasket kit that is leftover from the engine rebuild. Fuel pump, HEI modules, coil, voltage regulator, oil filters, headlight switch, starter relay, new bench seat hinge covers, and more.

Small issues of note:
A little bit of paint chipped off on the rear valance and shows the green paint beneath. Also driver's side rear wheel has a little bit of bubbling below the paint. I have new spray cans of touch up paint and touch up clear coat that I will add with the car.

Asking $13k OBO. Willing to ship at your expense.

I will post more pictures today/tomorrow and later this week.

Did you sell your car? Never saw it on Craigslist.
The car is still for sale. It was on craigslist for ~5 days but then I had to go out of town for work so I took the ad down. Still out of town, will re-post on San Diego craigslist when I return.

I am back in town now car will be posted to San Diego Craigslist shortly. Lowering the price to $10,000.
