small block QuickTime bell with TTI Z Bar
Any body have adjustment issues?

It’s a pretty simple system. What adjustment issues are you having?

I run a z-bar modified to TTI specs, but I have a standard bell. Still, at that point the only real differences you’re looking at come down to the pivot location and clutch fork location/travel.

Hope I can say this correctly
I am at the end of the adjustment and throw out bearing is just about hitting and when I press the pedal down, my pedal is not coming all the way up without helping it. I have the spring on the clutch fork. running the factory heavy duty clutch pedal.

I have this setup. I am using QuickTime can, TTI torque shaft, factory fork, and new replacement clutch linkage. I still have plenty of adjustment left and pedal returns fine. I'll get pics when I return home on Monday if you need.

Here’s a couple of pictures
I am using stick fork also

I put the extra nut on the adjusting rod.
Do I need a heavier duty spring?

One more thing, the more I adjust it the better the pedal come back up.

What clutch are you running? Are all of the parts new?

yes all new
McLeod super street pro 10.5-10.95

#75209?

That’s the same clutch I run behind the 340 in my Duster.

It’s a diaphragm clutch, you need to remove the clutch pedal overcenter spring.

the 75238

Ok so that’s a B&B clutch but it’s a 10.95”. I know it bolts on like a 10.5”, but the quicktime bellhousing notes specifically say nothing bigger than a 10.5” clutch. Not sure if that’s part of the problem or not. I wouldn’t think so, but it’s in the notes.

Did you use the right clutch fork pivot bracket? The quicktime bell says it comes with both an A-body fork bracket and a B/E bracket. Just a thought.

The only difference is the dice is 10.95. the flywheel is 10.5
yes I used the A body bracket

I used the McLeod RXT twin disc on 130 tooth flywheel

I called McLeod and they said that the had a run of them with the fingers to short. They said to send it back and they will take care of it. Bummer

It looks like your clutch fork is set to close to the bell. You need to shim the clutch fork swivel bracket a way from the bellhousing to move the clutch fork forward, a common problem with Quick Time bells.

Exactly! Had to shim mine almost 3/8 inch to get it right. QT actually sent a couple fork brackets with the shield, but neither was perfect.

I used a piece of bar stock, drilled the 2 holes and that was that.

Well already sent my pressure plate back to Mcleod. see what happens. If no problems this is what I will have to do. thanks

Got the pressure plate back nothing wrong with it. So I shimmed out the bracket and that work with angle but notice the throw out bearing is not centered.
