Hello fellow canucks.
Just did some business with RPM or Restoration Parts Marketing in sask.
Prices were not as advertised, considerably higher.
The window gasket comes incomplete without locking strip even though i specifically requested he check and supply locking strip if necessary.
So, break the ice with a 300 dollar order, may lead to a thousand or so more.
Huge disappointment and the absolute worst thing a business can do to a new customer.
Definetly will reccomend them if you like paying more than advertised,a month wait instead of 2 weeks and shorted on parts.
Guess the remainder of parts will come from alternate sources.
Thanks for reading.

Nope. I spoke to a salesman directly. So much for the personal service.

That's too bad. I have dealt with them a couple years back and they were good. I went right to the store though. I have heard bad stories over the years too.

Cley

I recently had a new customer.
Quoted on a ball joint i assumed was available for the car. No luck, had to sub a more expensive part. Sold it below my cost in order to keep my word. I didnt lose much money on that job, and i have a satisfied customer. Repeat business is what keeps my doors open.

They always have a display at the swap meet here in Lethbridge, Alberta in the middle of February.
I talked to them a few times about parts and prices etc. for Mopars, and they didn't seem very interested.
The displays and products were 80% Chevy, 15% Ford, and 5% Mopar.
From looking at their stuff and catalogues, all they are is a distributor in effect for Year One.
All they do is order from them, mark it up over what i could order it from Year One including exchange and duties/taxes 20% or a bit more, and sell it.
The one guy in particular has a huge attitude and thinks his **** doesn't stink.
I don't know if he is one of the owners, but regardless, i wouldn't give him the sweat off my balls.
He's the one with long straight dark hair and is tall and skinny.
What an asshat...............
That's why i gave you the agree!

Good to know i’m not alone here.

hmmm....,yes they definitely take a long time, phone service was always good for me, its been a couple of years though, thanks for the heads up, was going to order fuel and brake line for the duster

Hadnt considered year one,but parts for early barracuda are not as popular. Will be looking there.

In Canada if you’re not into exchange and duty try early-birds.ca parts. He good ships when it’s supposed to and the price is the price listed.

Early birds lists absolutely nothing for my early barracuda.
I will be doing the shipping/duty thing from here on out.
Im down to a few odds and ends, the carpet will come next.

Iknow Brian the owner of RPM personally. Always had good service. I haven’t bought anything for a couple of years though. Call him and express ur concerns. I’m sure he will make it right. I’d be really surprised if he doesn’t. Kim

Hell, i gave them 3 chances and more.
All i got was arrogance and a ''we don't need you'' attitude.
3 strikes and you're out in my books.................

Give National MoParts a try. Canuckistanian supplier. Very personable on phone and will work with you. Good guy.

I have ordered several times from them (and my wife at Christmas). Great service. Reasonable pricing for a reseller. At least their website is up front about US$ affecting their prices. Hell, they even phoned me once on a bigger order to ask what size t-shirt I wanted (for free - it's the one my stuffed gorilla wears in the car shows).

Reality is that almost all suppliers are just middle men including Year One , Nigel at NationalMoparts has a great reputation but was a waste of time when I called him for pricing on some stuff , I still tell people to call him but I haven't called him back myself for anything . People ***** about Inline Tube for prebent lines but I had nothing but great experiences with their Canadian partner Canada Line and Tube when he was still in the business Marce3l was awesome to deal with , it's just the any given day personality thing most often that burns people .
