Built a couple trailers.
Weight and balance was my main concern. Loaded or empty.
I never even considered part of the capacity being carried by the tow vehicle.
Suspension/tires should be rated minimum 30% more than gross weight.
Just the empty weight of Fifth wheels now overload the Axels/tires by about 3500 lbs. Then the claim the tow vehicle has 10 percent of the total weight!!! There is a net zero excess Cap built it. To save 200.00 per unit!!
