Wheels

Must be a California thing. But then, who cares. I’ve seen and run, cooper, big and many others.255/60r15,,275/60r15,,, 235,245,. The list goes on. In 65,70,75 series tires from Michelin, Goodyear, cooper, big, and many others. Hi and lesser quality. Just because you chose to run 17’s which are hard riding bricks,,,imo don’t act like there’s no 15” choices... LMFAO!!!

With absolutely no offense intended, I hope that folks who hold opinions similar to this one keep their minds open to the fact that they may have no idea what good modern tech tires are really like. The difference is vast. If you could somehow fit BGF Radial T/As to a McLaren 720s and Michelin Pilot Sport Cup2 tires to a 340 Duster, my money would be on the Duster in a drag race, at least for the 1/8. Modern tires are no joke.

I don't see any point in arguing about it. Not everyone is trying to optimize performance. Some of us have a particular driving experience in mind or a particular look that just doesn't fit with anything bigger than stock/stock +1" diameter wheels. Just don't make the mistake of thinking that the 15" street legal tires out there are worth a damn in objective performance numbers.

I linked to the 80-treadwear Avon tires on the previous page...I'm still dying to see some performance measurements on those to see if it's worth paying 2x the money to have them imported from England.
