That's a good point. Looking at those pictures again it looks like those welds undercut the edge of the metal, make it VERY thin just on the other side of the weld. That's something Dynomax should be aware of, could just be a "lemon", or it could mean their welder needs to be re-adjusted. I'm assuming that's an automated weld.
