The 1947 Dodge Build

I finally got off my butt and combined a couple of boxes and made one long enough to fit the center section of the rear bumper in along with the other 4 pieces that makes up a rear bumper (and a front bumper too!). Each bumper consists of the center section, left and right outer sections and both bumper guards. Anyway it’s leaving by FedEx today going to Tri City Plating. The rear is gonna run about $1100 according to the web site about $100 more than a 5 piece front. Reason is the extra work in doing the writing in the center where it says FLUID DRIVE.

You can see wher the outer overlaps the center and the seam covered by the guard. It would have been easier to make the bumper all one piece and add the guards if desired. I’ll be using all stainless hardware when it goes back together.7F73F6B6-FEFC-4106-B580-7F986EAEA545.jpeg
