A 73 dart dash and the 72 duster dash are very similar, same basic layout but there are some big differences.

Look at the heater controls. I personally like the 67-72 style of heater controllers because they are easier to find if a replacement is needed.

The 73 - 76 tend to get brittle and the plastic likes to crumble, especially when living in a very dry climate. When a replacement is needed, the non A/C controllers are quite hard to find. Finding one that isn't brittle is a challenge. I am still looking for one for my 75 duster.

These days with 3D printing that should not be quite as bad of the problem. I drew up a few small parts and had them 3D printed for the Coronet.

I am scratching my head. I got the AC box out tonight and had a good look at what the firewall differences are. It will take a fairly good chunk of the Dart firewall around the core exit points and blower motor as well as an area below the blower motor where the indentation is extended for the '73 box. It will easily be a weekends worth of work. I really like the idea of the factory items for the AC but....

Convince me one way or the other to keep the '73 OEM AC system or get a Classic Air system.......
