904 to A230 worth the effort?

For my '79 Aspen Wagon 318.

I want a 4 speed, but it seems I've been out of the loop on pricing. Even the OD trans sell for $300.

I found a great deal on an A230 3 speed and it has me wondering. Is it worth the swap? The only downside that I see is that its still set up for column shift, so I would need to source a floor shifter for it.

This is my daily driver, and the main reason for the swap would be because I prefer a manual transmission.
