Well it’s about time to fire up my new motor. It’s a 70 340/418 I have tons of stuff done to it. Block 40 overs decked 40 because it had old school o-ring on the head Surface scat rods a 4 inch scat crank Diamond piston flat top pistons lunati can 242 in. 252 ex .
Prw 1.5 rockers. Super Victor intake port matched the intake. Biggs 4150 750 dp trans is 904 reverse valve body edge race converter 9 inch 3800 To 4000 stall With b&m Rachet shifter. QA1 front end coil shocks rear

Head are Indy RHS w 1.92 1.60 Val full port job by John Armanoff
 
With the diamond flat tops and the rhs heads you must be over 12:1 scr! Wow! What Lunati Is that? Interested in how it runs.

Hope that help. I have been told buy some Pretty good and you guys that it should have 500 Horses are better I don’t know we’ll see

I got a cuz that’s got a mustang that she thinks it bad an i it own right it is but not bad enough. I have called her out so many times w/ no show. So I guess she not going to run me .

Well I just tried to upload a video an it said it was to large . It was a video before it went bad . My son was driving it an he is new to doing burnouts LOL
 
Got the car fired up and running this video is too large for this platform so I can upload video sorry
 
Should be fun, watch out for those rubber caps on the water pump heater port. I have had them fail and shoot coolant EVERYWHERE! I would tap and screw in a plug.
 
Just curious: What head gasket thickness went in this engine? With .040" off the deck, and if the pistons are what I think (standard Diamond stroker pistons with CH = 1.457"), then they would protrude around .020" above deck. DCR would be in the mid 9's with a .055" head gasket.

With that number of cubes, and if that DCR is correct, low RPM torque is gonna be very high, so it may not be your son!

NICE rear suspension. Have you pushed on the side at the rear of the car to see how much side wiggle back and forth you can get?

On my duster, I just ran a short hose from the heater outlet to the return
