Has anyone used the “Ready to run” pro billet? Is it basically a jump over stock or a real performance piece? Build is a 528, tfs 270’s. 11:1. Solid roller. I can get one unused pretty cheap. Or better off with the “normal” msd and a separate box?

I did, it fits but it does not leave much room.

Y o Y would u build a monster with supposedly good parts then finish it off with junk. I just don’t get it. Kim

Well that was my original question. Is it up to the task? I have never ran one so I was asking. From what I hear I guess not. I’ll go with something else.

Its a distributor, not a crankshaft. Where is the performance gain in a billet piece? you can get timing curved to about anything even on a cast iron.

For the same reason there are different color cars and different rims and..,.

Does it improve the performance? Paint doesnt...rims (maybe for mass reduction) but cast iron or billet? I had a MP 2 piece billet B distributor. Nice piece: had 2 bearings, a shaft and an advance plate. Same as the iron one I replaced it with. It looked nice, but the iron one fit better. I had to clearance something for the billet one to fit. I sold it and didnt feel a difference between the 2.
