You should be able to remove it with the starter and steering column in place. I would pull the pump and battery tray out first to gain some working room.
After reading all of the replies and me saying that it should be able to be done without lifting the motor. I started to think how I did it with the motor in place. Well it was sometime ago and it was on a SB 1967 Coronet. An entirely different car.
So disregard my original useless advice. Sorry about that.....
