I have to mention the E-58 code 360 and the E48 code 318.Both were hd 4bbl engines.The E 48 engine can be found in many diplomat and fury cop cars from the 80's era.The E 58 came in the lil red express truck and was also available in some cop cars of that era.

There were also some crate engines put in diplomats for the florida DEA. These cars could top out at 148 mph.

To correct the E58 in the little red express statement. It has been wrongfully stated for a long time. A little red express used a modified version of the E58 called the EH1.

Because of a loophole in the emissions regulations the 1978 Dodge Lil' Red Express Truck's did not have catalytic converters, what the Lil' Red Express did have was a special High Performance 360 C.I. 4-barrel small block engine code (EH1) which was a modified version of the 360 police engine (E58) producing 225 net horsepower @ 3800 RPM. The package also included Hemi style mufflers with a crossover pipe breathing through 2 chrome stacks located behind the cab, a special 727 transmission and 3.55:1 rear gearing.
