My Blueprint crate engine story - May 2018

As others have pointed out however, time is money, and its worth the end use to determine if their enjoyment and time of assembling their own engine, to their spec, is worth it in the end. If not, then for all the labor it takes to get on blueprintengines.com and order an engine...you can get one on order.

You're exactly right, Caco2120. This is nothing more than a choice to be made, based on each individual's personal circumstance/preference. Besides your point that "time is money", I will add that "Time is limited". I had Cancer 10 years ago. I made the choice NOT to piss away another year or 2 or 3 building an engine, and instead spend the time driving my car because I know that there is no guarantee in life that I will even be alive in 3 years.

Sure, if I put adequate resources to it, I could learn to fly a 747 too. But for what? To live up to someone else's expectations, or hope it makes my dick look bigger?

I'm driving my car with the 408 in it every chance I get. That makes me feel alive. That's all I care about.
