I made a 1/4" steel bracket that sandwiches between the k frame and the stock mount. It bends around behind the motor bracket so you have the dampening but it locks solid under torque. It's been in there for ten years!
I tried shims with no success, header still hit the torsion bar.
Your rubber looks in much better shape then mine did.
All I know is that the Mity Mounts worked, I just wish I had found them sooner.
$150 bucks compared to what I have invested in the car is money well spent.
