hi guys I’m looking for an a833 4 speed with O/D. I have one now in great shape but it has the long tail housing which is for B&E body’s. It would be great to find some one who has one for an Abody but needs B or E body. We could swap.
I would also consider selling the one I have.
I live in Canada but would be willing to cross the border to pick up

I have a 833A but do not need the B tranny. do you have any parts for my A body cuda?

To put the a833 that I have in my dart? Won’t the shift be in the wrong spot?
 
The OD was available several different ways;
C.I. case or aluminum, small MS or large, How much power are you thinking of putting thru it?
I could probably build you one from spare parts. Or even convert yours.

You sure you want an OD box?

You can make your long-tail work if you wanted to, I have one in my 68 Barracuda. You can fabricate a plate to put the shifter anywhere you want to. I moved mine back between the buckets and made new longer stiffer shiftrods. No more missed shifts.

Im pretty sure you could convert it to a short tail if you could find the parts, but it would be easier to make a driveshaft to fit.

How did you move the plate for the shifter? Did u just weld a new one to the tail?

Wow this will help great. Takes all the guess work out. So for the rods, i’m Guessing they are the normal rods used for the A-Body?
