Have a good day everyone, I’m out the door going to work. Taking the dart today and was letting her warm up a little. Thought I’d stop in and say hi:)

all 8's except prestolights. That is one good thing about mopar they kept that the same on the / and 8's elect and points.
Tell you what getting vac advances for the prestolights is a pain in the *** now. Just had to spend 70 on one for that 413 tach drive. Hope it gets here before wed.
That's a score on MP caps they are usually around 25-40

I should test the extra used vac. adv unit I have for my dual point. I think I have a extra distributor around here somewhere.

Keep it you will need it one day, hey a trick put some armor all down the nipple keeps the rubber diaphragm in good condition.

Thanks Hoppy, good to know. Those aren't adjustable through the vac nipple are they?

You would be surprised how many stamped are adjustable. If a 3/32 allen fits in it is, the old style is with a spring and shims. They are not to bad to do. Just have to have the parts.

Old style with the hex type vacuum nipple.
Shims add for less advance take out for more. There are a few different springs for rates. Just use what you have and shim or remove pretty simple each thin shim seems to be about two degrees of crank advance. the thick ones five. Don't lose the gasket on the nipple hard to find the right one to replace it.

@halifaxhops I've got a question for you. I know we've talked about the old model 60 tractor we have. Can't get an adequate spark. We'd replaced the coil, plugs, wires with part number matched parts from Orielly auto. I know we'd talked about perhaps the coil being the wrong OHMS for the old points system. My question is, do points also require a different type of plug wire?
