Thank God for Mity Mounts

After chasing my tail for the last six months trying to cure a header clearance issue I finally sh#t canned the stock motor mount isolators and installed a set of Mity Mounts.
Man what a difference, no more header clearance issues and the car launches harder than it ever did. They are a royal pain in the *** to install but worth the trouble.

I use them on my '70 E-Body with a stroked RB. I have a shaker hood, and they allow nice movement and a positive stop. However, I just added a chain to hold the motor down while under throttle. The motor wore out my last driver's side Mitymount by almost wearing the tapered head through the metal plate. I've since bought a new set. They are great.
