Another detail- since my car has the optional 5.5 wheels the spare tire sticks up higher in the wheel well. To compensate, the factory glued extra thick insulation material to either underside of the matt to compensate for the bigger "bump" in the middle.
Remember that the spare tire well was first designed for the 1960 Valiant and carried on forever. A 6.50 x 13 tire on a 4-1/2" rim fit just fine!
Al's car has been in his family since new. Maybe the earliest build cars started out as black and then chanfed into the more common gray.
As already stated, no carpet in the trunk but the cargo area got carpeted side walls with the Deluxe interior.
