Hey guys, my brother has a 70-71 duster trying to figure out value. No title. Needs lower quarters, rear floor dr side. Rear side window missing. No engine , trans, front susp. No seats, prolly needs carpet, headliner, etc. I think all the rest is there. ( trim, etc.)
Thinking about another project. LOL

We took a census and came to the conclusion that you're not allowed to start any more projects until you finish the ones that you have already started!! AKA FrankenCuda!!!!

Hmm... I guess my legally owned, legally licensed and legally titled in my name Duster was a parts car of $0 value when I bought it. :D

You're killin me. lol
Just tryin to keep the ever decreasing Mopars from disappearing. Don't have a problem applying for duplicate title. I know it's getting harder and harder to find decent shape cars nowadays. People want a bajillion dollars for basically, "less than scrap" cars.
Want to offer a fair price to him to try and save it...….. Someday. Or, pass it on to someone who will. :usflag:

I agree if the car was not a rare piece, it would be tempting to junk the car. But, Old mopars are selling for big money, title or not. "Save it" is my opinion as well.

It's not worth anything really IMO. Project or no. Scrap won't be much with all the weight gone so...

I agree, just need to figure out a fair price to give him. If I don't, it'll just sit in the weeds and rot away...………… That would be a shame, cuz he's never gonna do anything with it.:realcrazy::mad::mob:

what is it? slant six, 318?
$800+ for the body around here.I have sold junk/salvaged A body(67-72) coupes for $2,000 plus, with a Title of course.

Parts car only now. No title? Worth $ 0.0

What a joke. Even a full on parts car is worth a good $500 most places. Should be worth a couple hundred in scrap at the least.

And as long as it has a VIN and a matching stamped partial somewhere you can get a title in plenty of places. Two matching numbers and I could have it titled here in California as long as it wasn't stolen at some point.

Get a bonded title. I just bought a 65 Barracuda from people too dumb or lazy to get a title! Sounds like it needs some AMD metal, an HDK front suspension, interior, and whatever drivetrain you dream up. Offer $500 for it....he will PROBABLY take it!

Agreed on the VIN - CT doesn't require a title but you need (3) numbers for them to verify. Problem is it's already BEEN a parts car. So what's there is rusty and incomplete. No suspension means it doesn't even roll. I don't know where you bring scrap but it's waaaaaay down. I wouldn't spend my time and gas dragging a non-rolling rusty unibody onto a trailer and to the scrapper for $100.

You'd have to give me money to haul it away with those wheels
:poke:
Buy me new wheels and tires and I’ll swap them out. :D it was cheaper (and nicer :D ) to put these wheels and tires on (had em layin around) than put new crumby 14” tires on the rallyes

Give me the duster and I'll buy some real nice 15 inch slotted mags for it

Have your brother get a title for it, save yourself the headache. Wisconsin is not easy to get a title, if the car was not in your name, when original title was lost, lots of runaround, headaches from the state.
Sounds like it need lots of parts to make it whole. Lots of parts=lots of $$$$$.
No Title means a drag car only.

Give me the slotted mags and I’ll.... probably put them in the shop and keep the Duster as is. :poke: :D
The 15s?
No way

Now, I got some cool 14x10s with N50s on them (also slotted mags) which would look great with the patina on your duster, those, I'll gladly give you

Yeah, except they don’t fit without SS springs and air shocks, because they don’t actually fit.
