1971 Duster Twister

Hey guys -

Just thought I'd post up a start of a thread to document the work going into this thing. I wasn't really in the market for another car when I bought this but I didn't want to pass it up. The car had been sitting for the last 20 years under a barn/awning and in the last couple of years the plan the previous owner had was to put a rebuilt '71 block 340 into it. The guy came up tight on money for one reason or another and so I jumped on the deal to get the whole package. It's all original with 108k miles, with next to no serious rust to it. The worst of it is surprisingly from the guys dogs peeing on the side it could get to which completely destroyed two of the wheels and got the lower quarter. Otherwise there is just a bit of stuff above the drivers taillight and surface rust in some other places. Thankfully none of the trunk, floors, or underside are rusting through. It's got it's original 318 (which ran when it was parked) and original transmission, with an 8 3/4 rear end. So far I've got a 4 speed and all of the parts but the column, 73+ disc brakes, power disc MC/booster, a few gear chunks to swap to, and a set of e body rear drum brakes. I've already picked up some Dr. Diff axles, UCA bushings, upper ball joints, calipers, rotors, pads, inner and outer bearings, dust caps, wheel seals, brake hoses, fuel pump, plugs, and plug wires. There are still a few things I need to/want to get such as lower ball joints, tie rods, a prop valve, etc. I'm probably forgetting some stuff, but here are a handful of pictures for now.
