2 bucks says it a transposed misprint. 1.78-1.87...? Find a part number for a 1.87 intake in 1967 or a D/Dart spec sheet that calls out the larger D/Dart valve, that is kinda major for a stock class. Misprints happen, especially in Mopar lore.
