Early A ext door handles....painted??? How to remove?

But those are only for the front doors. I am unable to find anyone that repops the rear door handles. I did disassemble the handle, and the push rod is machined into the thumb pusher, so I can not just remove the push rod. I could swap the entire thumb button, but that wont look good. hummmm
