1964 Dart GT Bonnet Ornament Badge

Hello, glad you found a solution. I have a question, you posted this statement "Fitted to my chrome using a few blobs of Araldite, clamped in position. When dried I carefully smeared the inside with Sikaflex to hold it securely." What is Araldite and Sikaflex?
I have a Lancer NOS emblem (not this one, but one like it) and I am afraid that it will fall out or someone will push it out the back. I am just looking for a solution for my problem. Thanks in advance.

Your worry is exactly what I was concerned about: people playing around with it and pressing the badge out of its socket, which is why masking tape was something of a disappointment, although made it easier to remove and fit to my own chrome strip, which was better.

Araldite is a high-strength, two-part epoxy adhesive, been around for a million years...

Sikaflex is a silicone sealer, construction sealer, I used that mainly to make the back fairly smooth and rubbery so it wouldn't fill up with water and dirt, as well as flex a little bit so the chrome piece sits flat, and ensure the badge does not come adrift. This was probably unnecessary because Araldite is great all on its own...

Hope this helps, I actually thought both these products would have been available worldwide?
