I live near Pismo Beach , and all young morons go to the local fair .Triple digit weather ,alcohol, and inadequate driving skills, make a drive home ,an adventure .
I watched a little blue Honda ,make a good launch, and pull 4 gears ,damn good shift points
A inexperienced driver in a Bummer, cut my bumper by less than 2-3 feet ,cut the left lane ,doing 85 minimum.
It's kinda sad ....
You cannot buy driving skills ,through technology.

that sucks but Pismo beach is a fun place to ride

And they're selling cars with lane assist, back up cameras, and stop radar, along with touch screens and 28 buttons on the steering wheel, while telling us not to text and drive.

Instead of preaching being better drivers.

Idiocracy is coming, but don't worry scrote, lots of tards are living totally kickass lives.

Modern cars that handle like they are on rails and anti -lock brakes save many idiots and others from death and injury. If these people tried to drive
a 40-50 year old car the same way they would be dead. My belief is that ending drivers ed in high school and going to a private driving schools exacerbates
stupidity and bad driving skills. Ca. definitely has it's share of morons. I talked to an auto transport driver from Fl. and he said he tries to stay away from
the North East section of the country. Terrible roads and dumb *** drivers. Add smart phones to the mix and that makes things much worse. One can become
distracted by changing radio station, let alone texting while driving at 80 MPH.

I think there must be point where you have enough money that Laws or common sense are no longer needed.
Had a guy in Audi roll through a parking lot and into the access road without stopping or even looking. I hit the brakes and veered towards the oncoming lane. (no traffic). Fortunately, I was not traveling fast and stopped before I hit his left front fender.

I'm not sure how I'm going to react the next time someone comes into my lane, head-on, while they're holding an iphone in front of their face.

One of the local car-accessory stores out this way (Car Toys) has a couple of ads on the radio, trumpeting the "safety advantages" of their gizmos. One of them is for some collision avoidance technology, which will warn you if the car in front of you stops too quickly. I call bullshit on that one, it is psychobabble for "you are following too closely". Pay attention to what you're doing and you won't get surprised when someone if front of you stops. :bs_flag:

Another ad is two moms gushing about the safety features of a new aftermarket stereo, and how it allows the driver to text, read email, and make calls hands-free while driving. Gee, Idiot-Moms, how about tell your kids to actually drive when they are driving the car, instead of multitasking and operating the vehicle as an afterthought?
Rant mode off, at least for now. :wtf:

I've been thinking about making a ping pong paddle style sign that says-

"put down the phone and DRIVE"

When I pass a phone user doing 10 under in the fast lane I wave the thumb and pinky near my mouth and ear "phone" sign and make sure they see it.

Yeah, nothing more aggravating than some idiot on phone who don't maintain a steady speed and wanders all over the road.
