where are you in the height adjustment on those things? the nice thing about coilovers is height adjustment, not as easy as T-bars, but still good, if they're the right length

I am almost max out I thank it measured at 24 1/2 They are 7 inches Springs And coil overs QA 1

That’s what I was thinking . But what spring rate? 450 or 550#

So those are just a resold QA-1 kit? go to the QA-1 site and see what rate they recommend for the front weight of your car. Or total weight of your car. what do you have have for a motor and trans? small block big block how much aluminum? Have you had your car on the scale at all.

I have got. 340 / 904 trans only Aluminum I have his valve covers an intake

Can you fit a longer spring with same rate ? Or are the springs too soft?

those springs are too short (my opinion). you should be able to get close to the middle of the threads with the adjuster collar and have a usable ride height. as far as the rate, what's the free spring height vs the installed with the wheels on the ground? you might need a heavier spring, but if it's not sagging, and the rate works for what you want out of the suspension, it might be good (or close)

there not strong enough the top 2 coils are binding I used 950 left and 1250 right on a short track car on a 3/8 mile dirt track with a 3600lb car you should call them and ask them but you should weigh the car first. by guess would be about 750 lb

Paging @HemiDenny

Something definitely isn't right with either the length of the springs or the length of the coilovers themselves.

The last recommendation I saw from Denny was for 450# springs, but that's not big difference from 350. Seems like most of the HDK guys are talking about 450 or 550 lb springs. What QA1 coilovers are those? They should be QA1 DS303 or DD303, that's a 12.625" extended length coilover that uses a 7" to 9" spring.

thanks, i was thinking these looked real short, but not used to seeing coilovers on these. look like they came off a slammed civic

the front end kit only uses 8 inch springs....that is all there is room for.....we currently have 350 lbs springs but with tti headers...

Ohhhh that’s not a full HDK. Missed that. Spent so much time looking at the coilovers I missed that those are just regular QA1 tubular LCA’s.

Definitely something not right though. How tall are those front tires? The clearance from the bump stop on the LCA to the frame doesn’t seem terrible. Might be between the lousy below the steering link headers and some really short front tires. I still don’t like how compressed that coil is though.

I think you are looking at the 1/2 thick ground top coil and the next coil touching. look at the bottom end its the same but there is no binding anywhere else.

Ima thinking that engine is a bit lower than usual too.
When I was running that style of header, I never saw them that far below the center-link, but then I have always run the stock K
Are those brake hoses gonna be long enough?
